The Department of Zoology is one of the branches of biology that deals with the study of animal living organisms from all aspects: cell science, histology, parasitology, entomology, the study of vertebrates and invertebrates, microbiology (bacteria and viruses), anatomy, natural history of vertebrates, animal physiology, embryology, marine biology, and biotechnology. It also studies the environments surrounding animals and their interactions with them, represented in general ecology and animal ecology. The department was established in 2012, following the example of other departments in the college, and the first batch graduated in 2016.
Description
The duration of study in the department is eight semesters, containing 52 courses and a total of one hundred and fifty (150) credit hours with an average of 193 study hours, during which the student is awarded a Bachelor's degree in Zoology.
